Carnitine is the amino acid for dogs that is important for normal heart function and fat metabolism! L-carnitine has a key function in the metabolism and supports the conversion of fat into energy in terms of cell physiology. Thus carnitine is crucial in the burning of fatty acids in dogs. Carnitine is formed by the dog itself with sufficient amino acid supply. It may be advisable to give additional carnitine to dogs engaged in sporting activities or if they are fed a diet low in protein.

Futtermedicus Optisolo-Carnitine is particularly recommended as a feed supplement for BARFing and home-cooking of feed rations. The L-Carnitine powder is fine-floured and therefore easy to mix into the feed ration and neutral in taste and odour. Due to the high concentration, the powder is very economical in consumption.
