Feeding recommendation for dogs and cats per day:
0.5-1.0 g per kg body weight
1 level teaspoon = approx. 1.5-2 g; 1 level tablespoon = approx. 4.5 g
The amount should be slowly increased over 5-7 days, so that the intestine and the intestinal bacteria can get the most out of the fibres. If you give the essential final quantity from its beginning, the consistency of the faeces can become worse by the high content of fibre. The fibres should be mixed well under the moist food. With dry food it is advisable to add some water in advance.
The amount can be increased until maximum 1 g per kg body weight per day. When the feaces soften, the individual limit is reached. The amount should then be reduced again by half a teaspoon.
